mini bird chemise
This little chemise was made from a stash of wool fabric that I've had for many years. I lined it with a pretty blue fabric cut from an old frayed work shirt of my husband. The sweet little button has a hand-embroidered bird on linen. It was designed by Keiko Maeo. (I found it on www.reprodepot.com.) The shirt opens at the side and is held in place by the bird button and a tiny button on the inside flap. It is a warm and cozy winter shirt. Thanks to the little bird, my girl loves it!

Melissa, this shirt is so charming! As is the picture of H on the blue chair. I also really love her little knickers. I wonder if I could ever get L into a pair of those... so darling!!
she is a cutie, love the photo of her in that blue chair
How lovely!
I am always excited to see your new sewing projects.
Wow, so lovely tunic, and the details!
gorgeous picture with the chair and the shirt, did you plan for the blues to compliment? Absolutely adorable!

awww.. perfect, like everything else you make :) Was this an original or did you have a pattern?
I made up the pattern based upon a shirt my girl already has.
This is so stunning! She is adorable and the top is precious. Seeing your wonderful handmade children's clothing makes me renew my desire to try my hand at it. What do you recommend as a first project? Thank you for the wonderful inspiration!!!
