valentine cheer

At our church we had a special program to honor the teenage girls and their accomplishments. As a gift, we made them these necklaces mounted on a card with each girl's silhouette. The charm is from www.bluemud.com. Each charm cost about $2.00, making the whole project quite affordable. And the girls loved them. Wouldn't it be nice to make one for that special someone for Valentine's day?

This is so great! I love what you did for the girls and those silhouettes are fabulous! I love the Valentine idea too! How did you do their silhouettes? (I've wanted to do my own kids for some time now but didn't know how.)

Hi Melissa, thank you for visiting Lesley and me on our Loo-sley Blog! Glad you liked the owls! They were great fun to make and it was interesting to see how differently we made them (we live 300 miles apart and haven't met ............ yet!) I love the idea of those silhouettes with the charm necklace by the way! Lucy x

Hi Melissa,

those pendants are soooo groovy, and what a unique way to display them for the girls! So personal, I'm not surprised they were thrilled.

I'm glad you like the meeces! I'm going to HAVE to stop making things and do something useful soon...like the hoovering!!

The silhouettes are a nice touch...we've done a similar gift in our YW..charm bracelets. Each significant activity or accomplishement (camp, New Beginnings, etc.) they are presented with a new charm for the little suede bracelet. I like the claddagh!

What a fantastic idea to keep it cheap and meaningful. I adore your blog - please tell me you and your sister design clothing for a living? And sell it? Somewhere I can buy it?
