dots!
Nothing says cheer like a grouping of dots. Big dots, small dots, medium-sized dots, when placed together in a uniform grouping against a contrasting background, it instantly creates a cheerful palette. This little shirt is made from a Japanese print with dreamy little deer and woodsy mushrooms. The skirt is a heavy charcoal denim. Both are trimmed with red and white dots, with a gathered pocket ample enough to hold a few little treasures.

I love the Japanese fabric paired with this red dotted fabric! It couldn't be more perfect together! As usual-- wonderful outfit! I love the photo too...and that table! I just got back from a frustrating furniture shopping trip. I think Craig is going to disown me soon... I never like anything in furniture stores!
This outfit is just darling.
Wonderful work.
You make me wish I had a girl to dress up and that you were selling your fabulous clothes for me to dress her up in. Do you sew things for your son? I would love to see some of your baby and big boy ideas.
Both pieces are just great! Love your work.

Did you design the shirt pattern?
So Sweet.

Oh so cute I love! I've just come across your blog and I am so impressed and inspired! -kb
Hi Melissa ... I just stumbled upon your site this morning while searching for doll wardrobe plans. I'm so inspired now by all the gorgeous clothing you've made - and your beautiful photography. Wow! I've been spending the last several weeks making doll clothes for my niece's 8th birthday and I've discovered how FUN it is to make little things. My next project is a wooden wardrobe to hang all her new clothes in - and teeny little wire hangers. What fun! Keep up the great work - I'll be checking in periodically to see what exciting new projects you've completed. Take care!
Oh, I agree, dots are always nice.
what seamstress you are! so cute. what pattern is the shirt?
I just came across your blog. You two are wonderful! I love seeing all the things you do. You are so talented. Thanks for sharing it with us!!!
I love how femenine the look is and I also love the fabric. I'm still hopeful that someday you will make some of these items available for sale. They are beautiful!!!!!
Hope all is well in New York!!!I miss it.
ok, it's settled, you need to adopt me and sew me a wardrobe, size 6 please (adult). I gasped so loud when I opened up the page, my hubby ran over to see what was wrong! That is my favorite favorite fabric but I just can't convince myself to spend the money - but you convinced me! This is the darlingist (is that a word?) little shirt ever!
So cute! I love it!
