Hello! Melissa is on a vacation with her family so it's two posts in a row from me. Melissa, I hope you guys are having a great time! I am sure you are hatching all kinds of fabulous ideas.
The other day I bought this pretty yellow tablecloth at a thrift shop for $1, and made this little dress for the 4 year old. The dress was originally longer, but when I tried it on her all I could think was Mrs. Roper (I'm sorry mom. It's true. I always snuck down to the basement to watch "Three's Company" while you were running errands. I LOVED it. But don't worry, I didn't get the sexual innuendo until Courtney explained it to me my freshman year at college). SO, I shortened the dress to knee-length and now I think it looks so springy and cheery. And there is enough tablecloth left to make a matching one for the baby.

Sweet! I've got something similar in mind for some vintage bedlinens accumulating in my closet. Of course, they might end up as pajama bottoms too...

I found your blog through Alicia's,and was very impressed with all the children's clothing. I use to non stop make fun children's clothing when my daughters were young. I loved the older post of the woodland room with little red riding hood. Very talented. Not sure who did what on the various photos,but what a fun blog.

I wasn't allowed to watch 3's Company either. Or Fantasy Island, which I believe came on right after that. Every once in a while I would say, "Oh, I need a drink of water" and then just walk re-e-e-e-a-a-a-ly slowly to the kitchen. Jane watched the entire series of Dallas when they showed it on cable a few years ago just to see what she had been missing :) So deprived :)

OK--I had to sneak Three's Company too. It wasn't allowed in my house and I never understood why. Love the dress. Mrs. Roper would be proud!
So the truth comes out! No wonder the TV was hot to the touch when I returned from my errands! Yea, I let you get away with it. I love the dress but you more. Mom
