slow down

I'm glad the nice slow days of summer are coming. We can take walks to town at our own leisurely pace. I won't have to say "hurry we'll be late!" for two whole months!

I think what we all probably need a little more of in our hectic world, is time to slow down. Time to lounge on our bed and think about our lives, our kids, our sewing projects, our stack of dishes in the sink...

I agree, except in Seattle I'm not sure it will ever be summer. Galloping non-sequiter: please, please, please post patterns, sell them or something so I can make cute little frocks and stuff for my neices!! Please!

I adore the shade green you have on your walls. May I ask which brand/shade it is?

Love the little girl and her pretty room! Your "slow down" philosophy hits home. A couple years ago I stopped wearing a watch. It has taken some time, but now I live every day of my life in such a way that I don't need one. Enjoy the summer!

Such a lovely sentiment. I love just lounging...but my boyfriend is a busy body - so it can be kinda funny. Great photo too!

Doesn't that look so relaxing? I do love summer and the slower pace. One of my favorite memories of being young is just roaming around the yard with my mom as we counted trees and she taught me the names of flowers. Leisure time is awesome.

I love your picture, how clever to take a picture that way! I am definitely writing this shot down to remember to take it one day!
I wish I knew how to relax,I think I have to start meditating or something....

Love the green - something about this photograph reminds me of a Mary Cassat.

I can't wait for summer - I hope it's relaxing!!

I don't know where you live but I live in a small town (where things are very slow and I love it), but my husband teases me because I use the phrase "go to town" when I am already in town. You used that phrase and I didn't grow up with you so that makes me happy.

I am looking forward to the slow days of summer ... after our vacation, that is. Right now it's "hurry, we have to go find a new swim suit because you've suddenly grown out of all your clothes!!!". I love this photo too. You two inspire me constantly... thanks for doing what you do!

Yes! We do need more 'slow' in this fast paced world of ours!
