looking for green

Sunday afternoon I dug around in my mother-in-law's treasured collection of patterns from the 70's and found this one, McCall's 5109. Quick to sew, so we had time to go look for green poking up in unexpected spots.

  2. This dress is super-cute!!
At this moment I'm making a blue vichy tunic with a white front for my Rose. I guess at the end of the winter we all want something bright to sheer us up.^_^

  5. I love that shirt!!! I used a very similar vintage pattern to make myself some maternity shirts several years back. They were by far the best maternity shirts I ever wore. (The little gathers under the yoke did wonders for the protruding belly.) I didn't know there was one in a child's size.

  7. Yes I would need a maternity shirt extra, extra large at this point! Beautiful dress! And the green is so fresh in anticipation of spring.

  12. Today when she came over and Jupiter was licking her she cried, "I don't want Jupiter to ruin this dress! My mom made it for me and I LOVE it!"
That is a huuuuge compliment! You should be proud.

  17. Lynne! This is SO cute!!! I would never have guessed that it was an older pattern! Goes to show, just because something is older doesn't make it less valuable!!
