lots of pleats
If you are ever wondering randomly about making pleats, the nice ladies at Sew Mama Sew asked us to write a little tutorial for their Women's Sewing Month theme. You can read it here. I haven't been so intimidated to write something since my freshman year of college!
Man, Melissa, I really want to tear the yucky carpet off our stairs try your project... It is unbelievably gorgeous and creative and warm.

I will need to read that because pleats make me unbelievably nervous!!!
And yes... I love those stairs... and all the hidden moments!
I loved the tutorial Lynne. You are such a brilliant writer. You make something that could be fatiguing to read, a pleasure. And I love your little samples too. The one with the contrasting fabric in the pleat has totally inspired me...
i just read your tutorial and really liked it. i'll have to try your suggestions. thank you!
Lynne: I'm going to venture to make myself a skirt. Do you think inverted pleats are slenderizing? Which pleats would be the best? My husband is all about the fitted clothes!

Thank you so much for being such a constant source of inspiration!! Your children are absolutely adorable, your ideas are whimsical, elegant, adventurous, and just plain beautiful - and i am constantly telling my husband that when i become a mother i want to be *just like* you...

Lynne,
Your tutorial was great. Very easy to understand and demystified the pleating process. Thanks!
