what a inigmatic, but amazing piece. this really shows how powerful women are, especially those who have other lives to mentor to. thanks for sharing it!
as a girl, i used to imagine i was the one in picture books. i'm certain that the game is still ok to play when you are an adult.... and pretending with fine art lends a certain culturally refined-ness:)
hello! just want to make sure that you get this- i would love to have both of your patterns for my six year old daghter, who wears only dresses! i think they would both become beautiful favorites! hope you print more! fingers crossed!

thanks for sharing this. i feel like her sometimes (well, minus the virgin part).
Do my kids have to be wrapped in curtains when we adventure?!
Oh! How lovely. That's just how I imagine I will look with my two kids in a couple years.
Uhm, sorta.
prue: bed sheets would work too.
Courageous. I love this picture. She looks like she has so much courage leading her girls. To Where?
Lynne, thanks for the tip on the bedsheets. That's why I keep coming back. ; )

i'm guessing those aren't her children, though, unless Mary had all her children a la the firstborn.
