white ruffle collar dress
Awhile back I made a version of the servant frock in grey, with a ruffled collar. I said at the time that I'd write up how I did the collar and then promptly forgot. Oh, my empty promises! But with spring in sight and the need for a new dress for my wild one (if you doubt my choice of adjectives, please look below) I finally am following through. Here's the link (and the caveat that this is just how I happen to do it. There are surely other ways that might be better -).

thank goodness for whitening bleach!
love the collar, can't wait to see the tutorial! i love to see children acting like children...oh how fun it would be to be a kid again.
I love seeing the muddy bum on this gorgeous dress- we have the tablecloth dress and it's muddy more often than not :)

Nice when kids can be kids. My daughter came home from school one day asking if I would be upset if she got grass stains on her clothes. Further questioning revealed that one of her friends wouldn't play on the grass because her mother would be upset if she got grass stains on her clothes. How nice to be able to be a kid (wild or not!) without adult worries. (cute dress)
oh it is just beautiful on her...i'm going to use this pattern for easter dresses, hopefully. i've got to make one bigger than the pattern, so wish me luck! Love your work!
Mais c'est Blanche Neige ! Magnifique !!! I love the collar too !
thank you for the Tut. I love the dress.

I love your little tutorial. Your pictures make it look so easy! L. does look like Snow White in her servant dress!
that last pictures is hilariously adorable. i think you captured her just right!
i was looking at one of many "princess" toys that are at my house and noticed that the collar is JUST like snow whites.
Love your pictures! I've been meaning to purchase this pattern for awhile now...it would be a great spring break project!

The collar is great. I love white clothes because I can bleach the dickens out of them.
Great shots - great dress - love the step by step instructions with photos!!
